For the fans of the Texas Longhorns....

Okay so last year apparently the Texas Longhorns were involved in March Madness?? Don't ask me, I know absolutely NOTHING about Basketball....now Baseball or Football or Soccer...I'm all over it....okay so anyway, my cousin sent Thomas a Texas Longhorn creeper for a 12month old. Thomas was just shy of 12 months and it fit him but just barely....so this year I put it on Christopher thinking it would be HUGE on him....nope it fit him perfectly....and of course they didn't make it this year....oh well...at least we're getting some use out of the outfit right?

Thomas checking out the Longhorns on Christopher....see the Hello Kitty in his hand?
He decided it needed to be in the pic as well! Because as we all know HK rules in this house!

We were goofing off and Thomas was having the greatest time climbing all over Mommy and Christopher!

Wednesday's Writer's Workshop

So I will now be participating in Mama's Losin It weekly writing assignments, it's for fun and as long as time permits I should be able to get it done and have a little fun with it.

Directions are to write on one or all of the prompts and submit it....you should see some of the answers, they are great....

The Prompts:

1.) Somebody I'm praying for.... a good friend's significant other, she has already started her Chemo treatments for the SECOND time...So good luck Kim, you'll be fine! And for Celine, I hope you get the placement of that child you have always wanted, you will be a great Mama! And Brooke...you are in my thoughts and prayers....keep your chin up!

2.) I don't believe in prayer because... Now how could I have answered the first prompt if I didn't believe in prayer! =)

3.) What are you putting off right now? My own Doctor's appointments....I hate those!

4.) You can go back to your childhood for one day. What day and age do you choose? Probably when I was 6...the age when you think you have all the power in the world and you are just free. Your harshest critisim from friends is "doo doo head", you may have to clean your room but you just cram it all under the bed anyway. The days seems a little bit brighter, ice cream tastes a little bit sweeter, and you have your whole life to look forward to, and life is all about that next birthday party!

5.) Your friend tells you he can pick up any girl at the bar, no matter what he says. You bet him $100 he can't. Create the world's worst pick up line and send your friend off into the crowd. What happens? (writersdigest.com) Knowing my friends, I would have them say "Are those space pants? Because your a$$ is out of this world" but then he would use the pick up line of "Hey my friends just bet me $100 I can't talk to the prettiest girl in the bar", he'd flash the $100 and then say "what do you say? You want to spend their money and get a few drinks?"

More Doctors....

Christopher had his over due 6 month appointment at the doctor, since he wasn't able to go 2 weeks ago because of his "episode". So he had 3 shots and some liquid. He didn't mind the liquid but he hated the shots....and Mommy had to do it all by herself. So his screaming made mommy woosey and feel queasy, but as soon as I held him in my arms I was better as was he. He immediately stopped crying and the nurse said "well the worst is over"! When they see him again at 8 months there will be no shots, and at 10 months he will only get 1!
So my beautiful blue eyed baby weighed in at 18lb 12oz, and was 27 1/2 inches. The doc still wants him to see the specialist, at least until he is a year old. But he said that his Stridor is sounding better and better. Laryngomalacia is the number one cause of chronic stridor in infants less than 2 years. Laryngomalacia is upper airway obstruction caused by a defect in or delayed maturation of supporting structures of the larynx, causing a prolapse of the flaccid epiglottis during inspiration. So let's hope that once he hits a year old we won't have to worry about any of this again!

I Love Faces - Natural Light

What a fun contest....I heart faces - no flash.
All the natural light pictures are beautiful.

Taken mid morning, right before Christopher's nap, and the natural light in our kitchen was just perfect, and his eyes were so blue!

We won the lottery....

Well not really but you would have thought we did by listening to us! We Were so excited. Daddy asked if Thomas wanted to sit on the big boy potty and he did, and usually he just sits there and kind of looks around for a little bit and we take him off and that's that. But today he actually went!!! It was the funniest thing, he was sitting there and mommy and daddy were talking to him and telling him it was okay and stuff and all of a sudden we hear a "ploosh" and we went nuts! haha You would have thought we just won the lottery. We got him off the potty and were just saying YAY! YAY!! And telling Thomas what a good boy he was!!! It's all about the praise right? Well it went on and on and on....wait hold on a second I need to praise him again!

Sharing

We had a little visitor for the day today, and Thomas and Christopher loved having Macayla here for the morning. While Macayla's mommy had to work, she got to spend some time playing with the boys. And Thomas was awful nice to her and was sharing all of his toys AND his cereal. He even fed her! Awwww, I love my sweet boy!

Kiss me.....

KISS ME....I'M IRISH!!!

As you can see the wee one had a lot of fun on St. Patrick's day....Christopher was decked out in his green kiss me I'm Irish outfit and he even got a sticker from Tracy that said I love shamrocks....she put it on his head because if she put it on his hand he would eat it! We went to Grandma's for dinner and we had....what else....Corned beef and cabbage. Thomas wasn't at all interested in the cabbage....but he did like the corned beef, what a good little Irish Lad he is!

Playtime

We had everyone over for another potluck play date....we had all kinds of yummy food...Spaghetti and meatballs, sausage, garlic bread, salad, and to finish it all off Carrot cake. Last time we had Mexican food....what will be do next time? Can't wait for the warmer weather, then we can all be outside and the kids can play on the grass! I was so glad everyone was healthy and able to make it and no one flaked! (you know who I am talking about)

We didn't have a single mishap, not a single cry....all the kids did so well together and just seemed to love being around each other. It will be fun to see them grow together!
Thanks everyone for coming....click on MARCH PLAY DATE to see all the pics!

Doc updates and Friends

If I happened to show up on your door step crying, Would you Care?
If I called you and asked you to pick me up because something Happened, Would you come?
If I had one day left, to live my life; Would you be part of That last day?
If I needed a shoulder to cry on, Would you give me Yours?

Do you know what the relationship is between your two eyes?

They blink together, they move together, they cry together, They see things together and they sleep together, BUT THEY NEVER SEE EACH OTHER... that's what friendship is.
Cuz Life is lonely without Friends.

So Brooke, you're my girl, thanks for listening to me and being there for me through all this. Love ya Mama!
And to my best Friend in the whole world, my husband! You're my everything and I Love you!

I went to see the doc and will now be going to a dermatologist as well as an internist. Much better than the trek I had to take when I was in Michigan. I'll be starting a new blog to keep everyone posted on my doc appointments and all the goings on with that....because this is a blog for happiness and for the boys, not my "stuff".

As for the boys, Christopher still has a little noisy breaths but he has finished all his meds and will go back to the doc next week. We will see how he is then, and when and if he gets his next set of shots.

Thomas is doing well, getting so big every day, starting to talk up a storm. We are starting to talk about and plan his 2nd birthday and it's still 2 months away! But there is no time like the present!

Better Days.....

We've had a few things going on....let's see, we have since learned that we have a Picasso right in our very own home, he likes to draw abstract art on the living room walls!! His use of color is FANTASTIC don't you think? He also thought that the TV needed a little color as well, and he did it all while Dad went in the back room to change Christopher....Dad thought he got all the crayons...."Picasso" must have had one hidden!

Christopher is slowly getting better, as you can see we brought out the jumper for him, and he just LOVED it! He sat in there so long just playing and playing and playing! He's just the best baby! He's still on all his medication, and he is tollerating it well, let's hope we don't have to do this whole thing every couple of months! He's already 6 months and the doc said we shouldn't have to worry much once he hits a year old! That's a long ways away, but I am sure it will go fast!

The Moments

"It's not the number of breaths you take in your life - it's the moments that take your breath away."

Christopher had another episode again . Life is obviously never dull in our little day. But he is deffinetly doing better then his last episode. as you can see he is not 100% again but well on his way.

Hospital bound again?

We hope not! Christopher started yesterday with a cough and then last night woke up at about 12:45am and just sounded HORRIBLE! We considered taking him back to the ER last night but decided to wait until we talked to the Doc this morning. We kept a really, really close eye on him last night, and he still sounds just awful this morning....so I will keep you posted, or Daddy will post as to what's happening after we see the doc, let's hope he decides not to hospitalize him again!!!

Busy Days....

Daddy learned to post on the blog so it will be nice to see him posting more and more.

We had such a busy weekend.....the weather was amazing, and Thomas and Christopher had such a great time being outside. We went to see Aunt Tami and Uncle Dean and Grandma S. but before we went Thomas played outside all morning with Tawney, we are watching Tawney while Grandma has been playing in Australia.
Then on Sunday morning Thomas was such a great big brother he was showing a newly sitting Christopher how to color!! And it was just so funny they were wearing similiar jammies.

And after creating such a work of art Christopher took a nap and Thomas went outside to see about making lemonade

Is this how you get lemonade Dad?

It's Not working dad!
And Christopher chillin on the bench, wearing his matching shirt that Aunt Tami bought for them! We never did get any pics of them together wearing their matching shirts.....oh well. Thanks for the new shirts Aunt Tami, we love them!!
Then Thomas got to run all over the golf course when we went to visit Auntie Pat, he had a ball. And Christopher, for the moment, had to sit on the sidelines and watch! But he'll be running in no time, then we are in for some REAL trouble!
