More Doctors....

Well Thomas had his 21 month check up, I can't believe he'll be 2 in just a few short months! He is 27 1/2 lbs and 33 1/2 inches! The doctor said he is perfect and I agreed! So Thomas is all set until he is 2!

Christopher is almost 6 months and he goes back to the doc next week. He was supposed to see his specialist last Tuesday but he threw his back out and we didn't get to see him. But his pediatrician would like him to go back to the specialist, even if it's his associate and continue treatment. So I'll have to make another appointment. I'll keep you posted.

Mommy on the other hand will be going back to start her array of Doctor's appointments again!! I am not looking forward to any of it. I'll keep everyone posted as to what goes on!

First Haircut

Thomas had his first haircut today! Mommy and Daddy were so proud of him. He sat in the chair all by himself, he didn't cry or fuss or anything. We went to Daddy's friend Stephanie, she does Daddy's hair too, and she did such a great job! He didn't care for the little shaver thingie but he did EXCELLENT! Now he looks like a little boy!!! He's growing so much and so fast!!

BEFORE:

Watching himself in the mirror and making sure Stephanie didn't mess up!!

Checking out someone else getting their hair cut....

Check it out Mom....it looks good huh?

AFTER: and he's all smiles!

Our new house guest.....

We have a new house guest.....his name is Flat Mat, he has come to us all the way from Michigan. He is Christopher's God mother's son, Cody's friend. He has informed us that he like scary movies, he likes to help bake cookies, ride horses and drive in cars. He will help around the house and he loves to be read to. His favorite food is Steak and he hates veggies! We are going to be showing Flat Mat around and taking some pictures for his photo album before he goes home in 3 - 4 weeks, unless he gets homesick then we can send him home early. So Welcome Flat Mat and make yourself at home! We'll keep you posted as to what Flat Mat gets to see while he is here!

Flat Mat has already met Thomas.....

And he told Christopher all about Cody, and Michigan.....he said he's a real good listener!

And Flat Mat has already gone to the beach!! It was gorgeous there today!!

Thank You "Aunt Bob"

Just a quick little background, Steven's niece, when she was just a little bit called Steven Uncle Bob one day and no one knows where she got that from, so Aunt Tami wanted Thomas to say her name for Christmas, so we got him to say Bob! haha So now Tami is known as Aunt Bob haha
Anyway, Aunt Tami sent Thomas and Christopher some Valentine's gifts, (Click HERE to see those pics) and I have a couple videos....the first one....if you are a football fan, looks like Thomas is the quarterback, as he takes the snap he looks around to throw and no one is open so he runs out of the pocket looking for someone open and then runs forward again before he throw the ball...it's really cute.
And the second video is Thomas putting his sign language to good work as he is signing Thank You to Aunt Bob!

First Valentines

Thomas made ALL kinds of neat things for Valentine's day....he made stuff for mommy and he made a cookie and he got his first Valentine's from his new friends!! Now of course he had to have a torn up nose from running around and then tripping just a few days ago. But I'll tell you it doesn't slow him down a bit!!

Christopher looking like the heart is choking him, he got this adorable bib from Gordie and Gloria, they got some other really neat things from them but Gordie took all the pics and some great video of Thomas and then they left for a 2 1/2 week trip to Australia so we won't see those until they get back!!
Thomas' work of art cookie. Tracy said we could use it as a paper weight if we wanted and I said but it is a cookie right? He can eat it? And she said Oh yeah sure, of course!
Well it must be like a paper weight because Thomas just wanted to lick the frosting and eat the candy pieces off the cookie!

These were all Thomas and Christopher's valentine's that they got! Next year I'll be making up all kinds of Valentine's for Thomas' classmates!!

And these are what he made for Mommy!! They are little frames, aren't they adorable? He said he had to help Christopher with his, and they came out just so adorable!!!!

Specialist updates

Well Christopher went to see his ENT specialist, he has yet ANOTHER ear infection. He was clear on Friday and the doc said he has a "raging ear infection" as he calls it. Said that if mom or dad had it we would need tylenol with codene to deal with it! So needless to say he is not a happy camper. So we learned that you can go from a healthy ear to a raging ear infection in a matter of 4 hours! Learn something new every day huh? So we got a different antibiotic and let's hope it clears it up and keeps it clear. Mommy didn't get not one single smile today, so I'll be looking for smiles in the next few days! The doc says if it doesn't clear up or he continues with the ear infections we may have to consider tubes. So we go back in 2 weeks to see how he is. We will keep you posted!

Doctor's updates

Christopher went back to see the doc on Friday, he says he is looking good. Even though he is congested his chest looks good, he is not struggling to breath. So as long as we keep our eye on that we will be okay! Christopher is 17.5lbs and 26 inches! So while Christopher looks good, Thomas started with a low grade fever Thursday night, he was fine Friday morning, he had another low grade fever on Friday night. He was okay most of Sat and ended up with another fever Saturday afternoon and into the evening. It started at 100.5 and just kept getting worse until it hit 103.4 today. Poor little guy. So needless to say he hasn't been a happy camper. He was feeling better this afternoon and was playing around, but you can tell he still isn't 100%. So let's hope he gets a good night sleep and is better tomorrow.
And nothing says comfort than napping with Dad when you are sick!!

And we're eating

Well we were supposed to start feeding Christopher before his little stay in the hospital, and then because of that we put it off. We he just started eating some oatmeal, and he is taking to it just great! Now that we are clear of any allergies from the oatmeal we can start something new. The doc said we could mix some pears in his oatmeal if it stops him up...but with the meds he is on, NOTHING would stop him up! So I think we will try some veggies next, maybe some squash or sweet potatoes before we start on the fruit. I'll keep you posted on his favorites!

I have a what on my forehead?

Oh yeah that's right....an egg shape bruise! Well it's getting better and not nearly as swollen as it was the first day, but it's an ugly bruise.
