In honor of up and coming Mother's Day

In honor of Mother's Day that is coming up, and since it will be my first one, I am going to post this now. My friend Kim sent this to me and I just loved it!! So I thought I would share! Thanks Kim!!!

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."
God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."
Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"
God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
''Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."
''But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."
God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'

So Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's and Mom's to be!!!

Old Friends

The other night Thomas went to see an "old friend". He met Aaden when he was about 4 months old and Aaden was 3 months and they haven't seen each other since then, because Aaden lives in AZ. But they sure did seem to pick up where they left off....

Here is a few pics from that night...

Hangin out!

They have a million toys between them but what do they find most intereting...the kittie toys!

Reading and walking

Monday nights are mommy and Thomas nights since Daddy goes bowling, and I was sitting there watching my beautiful boy rifle through his book box and reading his books, I couldn't help my take a video, and now that he is walking, that made for a perfect video as well, so I thought I would share them all with you!!

He just loves his books, we have a big box of books with more in the closets that he isn't allowed to have just yet because he will rip them, but he will sit and pick a book from his box and "read" it, then he will pick another one, and he'll toss some over his shoulder if he doesn't want to read them just yet, and he'll do this for a good 30 minutes at a time. It's entertaining to watch, and I hope it is a sign that he will love reading and learning!!

So grab some popcorn and sit back and enjoy!

BEACH TIME!!

The weather has been so nice here lately that we took a "mental health" day and took Thomas to the beach. This is the second time he's been to the beach, the first time he was about a month old! We also took Aunt Melani and Serena and Thomas' "BFB" - Best Friend Brandon, with us on a much needed mental health day for her as well. Grandma came too and brought her two "kids" Sydney and Tawney! We had so much fun, the weather was perfect, the sun was out and there was virtually no wind, only problem was, the water was cold, only ones who didn't mind that, Syndey and Tawney!

It was Serena's 1st time on the beach and we found a ton of lady bugs, which was strange but amusing for Serena. We can't wait until we can all go again, maybe we'll get some video next time. But in the mean time, here's some pics from our day!
Waving HI as usual!
Thomas' "BFB"
BUURRRRR Grandma, the water is CCCCOOOOLLLLDDD!!!!
I love feeling the sand "melt" between my toes though!
Here is Serena, she is watching the Lady Bug crawl up her arm!
Brandon, stand up here with me for a pic....
High 5 dude, you are standing! Right on!!!

Updates....

Okay here is the pic, sorry it took so long, When I am not working or playing with Thomas I am usually trying to relax and destress.

Let's see, I had another doctor's appointment, I am still a pound below the weight I was when I found out I was pregnant. My doctor says she isn't going to worry about it because I am at least gaining weight, I think by this time with Thomas I had put on 7 lbs already. I have to go and do my early glucose test, which is just awful, and I was hoping to get out of it but my doc says no can do! So other than "feeling the pregnancy" she says I look great and keep doing what I am doing because it's working. I go back on the 30th of April, and I'll update y'all then!

Let's see....what else is going on....Thomas is getting bigger and bigger and his personality is really starting to come through. He's really a happy baby, only fusses when he's tired or hungry! We took him down to the duck pond again today and of course he wants to pet the ducks, but they don't want to be pet, he can't seem to understand that. Then we went to the park, he put his feet in the sand for the first time and thought that was really interesting. Then he put his hands in the sand, and with Mommy there playing with sand with him, he was laughing and laughing, until he thought it would be a good idea to eat the sand! So he really enjoyed the park.

He also tried some new things again this weekend. He loves his jello and his pudding....and of course dad says it's because of the sugar, but it's all sugar free! So he tried Strawberry jello this weekend and thought that was pretty good. We also made him his first hard boiled egg, and YUCK he did not care for that at all, you would have thought we were trying to kill him. He was making all kinds of barfing sounds and everything. It was quite entertaining. He also tried a few baked beans and thought those were just great! And no probs with those. We also tried these new little Gerber graduates ravioli's and he made the same barfing sounds with those as he did with the egg. So aside from toast in the morning with mommy, he also enjoyed trying mommy's bagel bites. He likes the cheese and I tried to keep as much of the pizza sauce off of it as I could, but he didn't care one way or another. Now he just needs to get some more teeth and he'll be eating just about anything!

So here is the picture of the ultrasound pic....
