Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone, we hope that you got everything you wished for this Holiday Season. When it came to presents I told Steven that I opened my gift REALLY early, like back in May! And I had all I ever wanted, a wonderful husband and a beautiful son!

Thomas got some fun gifts and some clothes too! Here is a video of him this morning playing around with one of his toys that Santa brought him....and to see all his Christmas pics, click here.

I also didn't do a Kodak share of his 6 - 7 Month photos because if you keep updated on the blog, you see most of them there!

Catching up...

Well I am serving my civic duty today and sitting in the Ventura County Court Jury Services room, and I am able to catch up on my reading. I subscribe to http://www.whattoexpect.com/ and they send me weekly newsletters and such and I learn some really interesting stuff on there. For example, look at the following pic and then read what I read below....

This is what they said when it comes to babies and messes....

"First off, don't worry — a little dirt won't hurt. Babies love to make messes, and they learn by touching (and tasting) everything they can get their little paws on. So give your baby as much freedom as possible to let his fingers do the feeling. Since you actually want your child to put food in his mouth, why not let him smear rice cereal all over his high-chair tray — not to mention in his hair? It's a fun, safe sensory experience (go on, try it, Mom!). He'll be having such a good time that he won't mind you spooning in a few bites while he plays, and he'll be taking his first baby steps toward learning to feed himself.

Away from the high chair, recognize that little ones are washable (and so are their clothes). If he crawls into a mud puddle or upends a bag of flour on the kitchen floor, let him enjoy the experiment for a while, then scoop him up and clean him off (but don't forget to take some pictures first!)."

So I guess I did a good thing, because he not only had sweet potatoes in his nose and hair but crusted on his eye lashes! HAHAHA It was a whole lot of fun and as you can see from the smile on his face, he had fun too! And it's a good thing I had the camera ready!

So stayed tuned for more "Messy baby" pictures in the future!!

Right behind the 8 ball...

Tonight we went to dinner at Faneesha and John's house, and they have a pool table, Thomas seemed to really like that pool table as you will see from the pics...

This looks like he is asking the 8 ball a question and waiting for an answer....I wonder what he is asking....

Once again, after daddy's beer bottle, of course there is nothing in it, but he still wants it anyway! Think this is a sign of things to come? haha

Firsts, firsts and more firsts....

We have a couple of "firsts" that are going on right now and they just keep coming!

Well we all know that he just starting really crawling, so that is a first. Thomas had his first Holiday party! And boy was that a big party, he was awful quiet but of course flirted with all the ladies, especially a co workers daughter who is about 3 weeks older, he's always after the older ones! And we had a great time, he continually tried to get Daddy's beer bottle, he said it was a party! He chomped on some carrots and some apples!

We know he was "chomping" because right before we went to the party we noticed that he has his FIRST TOOTH!!!! Yep that is right his left bottom tooth and broken through the skin and you can see it and feel it's sharp little edges on the top! Now of course he won't let us take a pic of it, he let Grandma see it today, and he let Faneesha see it as well, but won't let us take a pic of it. We will keep trying, so in the near future we will hope to post a pic of the new tooth! It doesn't seem to bother him at all either, and the tooth right next to it is on it's way! We'll keep you posted on that!

Pics of Mom and Dad

Okay, even though this is Thomas' blog and I know everyone signs on to see him, someone brought it to my attention that there are no pics of Steven and I or of Steven, so I just thought that I would post a few pics of us. Now these are pics of pics so they might not be perfect but it'll do! So bare with us as we post a few pics of Mommy and Daddy!
This first pic was taken a year ago on my birthday in Vegas!

This pic was taken on our trip to the Grand Canyon

On the Move

Well we are in trouble now, Thomas is finally on the move! He particularily likes the little "blinkies" on the router and wireless internet connection, so he is constantly drawn back to that! And I heard stories today about the things a co-worker found in her VCR over the years, I think we will be putting that up a little higher! I think we are in trouble!!!!!

Busy Weekends...

We have some busy weekends, no wonder Thomas is tired!

This past weekend, we had Thomas' 6 month pics taken, I'll be putting the link to view the pics as soon as I get it so y'all can see them. Then Thomas got to hang out with his BFB "Best Friend Brandon", it's going to be so much fun to watch them grow up together, with only 3 months between them they will be literally playing together very soon!

Sunday we spent the morning watching our team the TN Titans embarass us by losing to the San Diego Chargers! And then we finally got our Christmas Tree! It's our little Charlie Brown tree, but with Thomas on the move we needed something big enough to be pretty but small enough to put up on a table so he won't pull it down on top of him, he seems to be able to crawl to get something he isn't supposed to have!!!
And of course I've been busy wrapping Christmas gifts for all the good little boys and girls on MY Christmas list! I just love this time of year! Call me crazy but I am going to miss having a white Christmas!

So here are some pics from our busy weekend!

Thomas and his BFB

Family

This weekend Thomas got to meet my Aunt Rose, who I haven't seen in 30 years!! I was so glad to see her again, and although we can't possibly catch up on 30 years, we can start now. It's so interesting to see how things come full circle in life. My mom and my Aunt Rose were really good friends and they had their babies together, my cousin Todd is 6 weeks older than I, and my cousin Kerry is 3 years younger than I, and now Kerry and I are having our babies together and my mom and Aunt Rose are back in touch becoming grandmothers together!
We can't wait to go visit Kerry and her girls, (Addison, 2 years and Emerson 5 months) and my Aunt Rose in Texas! Thanks for the adorable outfit Aunt Rose, it's finally cold enough so that he can wear things like that, you know I'll post a picture of him in it as soon as We get it on him!!
It was so good to see you again and be in touch, I can't wait until our next visit!
